Priorities for Nature

At our first public meeting back in April of 2024, Edenbridge residents were shocked to hear that as a result of storm overflows in 2023, untreated sewage was discharged into the River Eden catchment at seven sites for a total of 6222 hours!

This information was gathered using this source. If you scroll down in the BBC website you will find the map they used. The article itself is well worth a read to show the extent of the problem in England overall.

Back to Edenbridge and what we can do to vote for change and ensure that the river Eden is prioritised for nature recovery.

Step One: Watch our video on how to vote on the Priorities for Nature website.

Step Two: Vote on the Priorities for Nature Website.

Your voice matters. By taking these small but significant steps, you’re not only helping to protect and restore the River Eden but also contributing to the broader fight for a healthier environment. Together, we can ensure that our local natural resources are preserved and prioritised for future generations.

Step Three: Spread the Word. Share this information with your neighbours, friends, and family. The more people who are informed and take action, the greater our impact will be.

Let’s work together to make a real difference. Thank you for being a part of this important effort.
