NEDRA Membership FAQs

Why do NEDRA want members?

The more members we have, the better we represent Edenbridge.

A large membership gives us a stronger voice and more influence on consultations, policies and decisions that affect Edenbridge.

A strong membership makes it harder to dismiss our voice.

Why join NEDRA?

Ensure your voice is heard in the crucial and final response to the 2040 Local Plan and any future plans that impact on Edenbridge.

Amplify your voice in a strong community group.

Receive timely updates and critical information about local issues and developments.

What does the membership fee cover?

Supporting Our Efforts: The membership fees partially help fund our activities.

Marketing Materials: Printing leaflets, posters, and banners.

Online Presence: Running Facebook ads to raise awareness.

Administrative Costs:  Email service charges, managing emails and member questions.

Research and Advocacy: Researching planning issues, writing letters to the media and councils, responding to consultation on behalf of our members.

Office Supplies: Paper, ink, and stationery.

Website: Hosting and maintenance costs.

Professional Memberships: Paid memberships to CPRE and the London Greenbelt Council for professional advice.

Community Support: Contributing to and supporting other local events.

What are members expected to do?

We need as many members as possible to give us a stronger voice and to truly represent Edenbridge residents. There is no expectation on our members but we encourage you to participate in our discussions either online or at our public events. Your views are important to us.

We may from time to time put out a request for help at events or for delivering leaflets but your level of participation is entirely your choice.
